Local reading data
The reader site uses browser storage for bookmark IDs and evidence-desk selections. Reading pages have no advertising, remote fonts, or embedded third-party media. Correction-note downloads and reading-list imports stay on the device. The separate contact form uses the services described below.
External sources and hosting
Publisher links open sites with their own policies. A hosting provider may maintain ordinary access and security logs. This online edition is hosted on Render; providers may keep access and security logs.
Optional support
The support page may link to Stripe when configured. No payment scripts load while browsing. The receiving operator can access payment details in Stripe. Supporters are not listed publicly.
Editorial access
The separate Django editor uses authenticated sessions and CSRF cookies. Its private notes and unfinished research tasks are excluded from reader exports.
Correction channel
A correction-note download stays on your device; it is not sent to us. Where the separate contact form is available, it verifies your email before accepting your message. Cloudflare Turnstile checks for automated abuse and Resend delivers the emails. The contact page explains what information these services process and how we handle submissions. Messages, email addresses, private editorial notes and original uploads are excluded from reader exports. A static download of the reader site does not include the contact service.
Contact the editorial desk provides email verification and submission privacy details. Contact may be unavailable until configured; downloaded correction notes remain local files.
Public page analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics on public reading pages to understand page visits and loading performance. It does not use analytics cookies or track individuals across websites. The editor, contact and email-verification pages, saved reading lists, evidence desk, local previews and downloaded editions do not load it. We do not send message contents, email addresses or your saved selections to this analytics service. About Cloudflare Web Analytics.
