Hartnett described collecting material, examining clothing, and testing sampled vehicle areas for blood.
What the record shows
Hartnett described negative blood-test results from sampled vehicle areas, collection of apparent glass and hair, removal of the taillight housing, and examination of clothing.
She described marking damaged areas of the sweatshirt and collecting samples and debris. She could not determine when the vehicle damage occurred.
The accompanying vehicle and sweatshirt photographs come from the 2024 exhibit collection. They illustrate the examination subjects alongside the later testimony summarized here. The garage photograph is not presented as the condition of the taillight before towing, and the garment view does not establish an injury mechanism.
Limits and disputed context
A negative test applies to the areas and method tested. Examination photographs and laboratory findings do not independently date damage or establish the injury mechanism.
